Following the recent controversy and public discussion over wild life trade and exports the Uganda Wild life Association (UWA) has brought several parties to book for alleged malpractices.
Suspended Licenses and prosecutions are pending. Following Public tip offs several persons were arrested with wild life and wild life products in their possessions without proper license or permit. Security around Uganda’s 400mountain gorillas has also been increased following the killing of two of the rare species in Rwanda. Our own Chimps, Laddy, Debbie Cox, managed to set a trap for several people in Kampala who were offering young Chimpanzees, parrots and a Leopard for sale. The culprits face up 5 years in prison.
